サンドイッチとおにぎりの二人三脚

I got a new job and we will be moving from Haverhill (1 hour north of Boston) to Lenox (3 hours west of Haverhill).  

Lenox is the town where my mother lives so I am very happy to be able to live near her.

My mother has lived in Lenox for about 25 years and I have been visiting this area, called the Berkshires, since then.

 I really love this area because there are many small mountains, lakes, forests, and rivers.  There is a lot of nature and many cute, small towns.  

There are not too many people and cars or too much traffic.  Also the Norman Rockwell museum is in this area and Riceball and I like Rockwell very much.

I will have a special teaching job where I teach children who do not speak English well.  

In America we have many immigrants and their children often do not speak English at home because the parents do not speak English yet.  

So I will be helping these children learn English and also learn math, science, and social studies.

 I will be teaching both elementary and middle school children.

I am very excited about my new job and new place to live.  We found an apartment in the center of Lenox (which is a very small town).  

Riceball can walk to the grocery store, the bank, the post office, the library, and to several coffee shops and restaurants.  

She can also walk about 20 minutes to my mother's apartment.  I will drive my car to work in the town of Great Barrington where my new school is.  

It is about a 15 minute drive.  The school is across the street from a small mountain called Monument Mountain where Riceball and I like to hike.

So that is my good news.  We are very happy.  I will be teaching summer school math to 4th graders in a city near Boston for 4 weeks starting July 8th.

 Then in the beginning of August we will move to Lenox.
